Too early...

Hello...
I may have bought plants too early.
I need some other items like co2 and other substrate items before I can plant them.
Can I just put them in a bucket for a week or so, without fear of loss?

What have you bought? Some may be better kept emersed as this is how they may have been grown already and would save any algae issues etc.
