What are peoples thoughts on trimming vallis? ive read on various websites about trimming the tops if it grows too long, mine currently is curling round my tank at the top.

I've only tried trimming the large straight vallis and the tops went brown. They also 'bled' with streams of oxygen bubbles coming from the cut ends. Having said that, you can't really see the brown ends if you don't go mad and cut the whole lot with shears  Plants didn't seem to be bothered by it either, growth wise.

what i do is hold the vallis so it is vertical and then just trim abit above the water, this way you dont genrally see the cut ends
