Please could someone tell me, how is Pogostemom Helferi and Blyxa japonica trimmed/thinned?
Cut off top? Uprooted and thinned? :?

Blyxa plant sends off side shoots or runners so you can cut the side shoots or runners form the mother plant and replant.

Pogostemom Helferi does the same - side shoots - uproot the plant, cut the side shoots off the main plant and replant, that what I did with mine - I took a new plant and split it up - have a read at the attached.

You an do what Paul says to thin it out, but if you want to cut it so it is shorter, then just cut the top off like a stem plant.

Thanks Paul and Aaron. Both plants have been doing really well, but now look as though some thinning out is in order.

i always thought doing that would just ewnd up killing it? - i would love to be able to do that! (i have never owned blyxa but its going in the 4x2x2)

damp kitchen roll or newspaper around them in a food or fish bag. Then in a jiffy bag.
Blyxa doesnt always travel too well for some reason though.

Just make sure if you use kitchen roll or newspaper that they are PROPERLY soaked with water as otherwise they will absorb all water and the plant could end up dead.
You could use a plastic bag wrapped in a towel or newsletter for further heat insulation. (better way imo)
