Hi,

I'd be grateful for a ID on this fish. Sorry the photos aren't great. I'm sure when I purchased 2 years ago it was labeled Siamese Algae Eater. However I read on UKAPS that they are often mis labeled by LFS. From research I suspect I may have the False Siamese Algae Eater not the true Crossocheilus siamensis. May explain why it doesn't eat BBA!

Thanks B4M

I had one of these chines algae eaters once. It was ok when young but it eventually grew to about 15cm and became a real bully in the tank eventually it started to latch onto the sides of the angel fish I was keeping at the time. It became such a pain I got rid of it now. I also avoid these fish although you see loads in dealers tanks along with a gold form.

Arent they the ones that I see in tanks and people stick their feet in?
