Unhealthy looking val

Hi all just recently my val has started to melt/rot and just generally looking sorry for itself ….. just wondering what I’m doing wrong , I’m dosing with tnc complete weekly and the soil has tropica root tabs and current 7 hours of light. Thanks

Hiya @Andrew-D in order to help we probably need a bit more information. Let us know the tank set up.. ie low tech, high tech... lights used and intensity, water changes, filter size etc.etc.etc...

Diagnosis without this information, and guessing... turn the lights down. Also worth noting vallisneria can't be cut mid leaf, remove it as close to the substrate as possible (hold the leaf tight in one hand and with your other hand follow it down to the substrate, once you get to the bottom, pinch the leaf and remove it).
