Hi, I went today to Growell in Fulham and bought 8.7cm Heavy Duty Net Pot.

I have also purchased Rockwool cubes.

Now my plan is to insert moss on the pot side (the one facing the light), place rockwool and pot my plants. Hopefully this would allow me to have a pot that is hidden by the moss, and still keep my plants potted.

The plants would get the nutrients from the watter column and roots. The light will be a vapour lamp of 125W, and I will be starting with dry salts.

The question I have is if you know of any issue in having the plants on rockwool inside the tank.

There shouldn't be, but better to be sure before I try it.

Thanks,
Luis

Hi Luis

You shouldn't have any problems with rockwool inside your tank as this is how most aquatic plant suppliers transport their plants in pots and it doesn't harm the fish.
Many others, myself included, just dunk the roots straight in the substrate :D

Thanks Chris,

I didn't think that there would be a problem, but it was better to check it out.. :) I am glad that there should be any problem.

Will repot the plants I have, as they are on JBL soil at the moment.
