Hi, I was thinking to use pressurized Oxygen instead of and air pump at nights because of this:

1 - Air pumps are noisy
2 - Air only has 20% oxygen

So using the same principle as CO2, using pressurized oxygen at nights can help similar to those H2O2 Alka Seltzer like devices Twinstar / Chihiros

1 - Air pumps are noisy

Not if you hang them in your base so they dont touch anything and its a quiet one OFC - I have had mine on a bit of garden wire hanging from a pipe for well over a year

2 - Air only has 20% oxygen

NOT worth it for the extra 80% O2

Hmm. Pressurised oxygen is quite dangerous, unless you know what you are doing. Rubber and many plastics are attacked by 100% O2. Grease/oil spontaneously combust.

So 100% O2 has no place in fish tank.

You could install a small pump with a venturi air system

Hi
Get youself Chihiros doctor or Twinstar they oxygenate the water and are silent.Or lift the filter outley at night.

Ok, guys thanks for your suggestions. I thought using pressurized O2 was piece of cake but it's not.
