Apartment renovation is naturally a very good reason to start a new setup.
  • 60 x 45 x 40 cm optiwhite
  • Twinstar 600 EA with a dimmer
  • JBL e701 (Biohome plus pellets)
  • Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder
  • Black lava stones
  • Red Moor wood
Plant selection is the typical low-tech one: Buces, cryptos, java ferns, anubias, süsswassertang, mosses and some fast-growing stems.

The apartment renovation I mentioned in the previous posting stalled for months. A huge number of people seemed to engage in home improvement during the pandemic, so it was basically impossible to find a company to do the work. In the end, I waited for the summer holiday and manage to squeeze enough energy to get it done myself. Plants came a few days ago, so after a better part of the year without an aquarium, good times are here again.
The current plant selection:
  • Ludwigia repens x arcuate
  • Ludwigia palustris "Super Red"
  • Hydrocotyle tripartita
  • Bucephalandra sp. "Mini Needle Leaf"
  • Bucephalandra sp. "Kedagang"
  • Microsorum pteropus 'Petit'
  • Anubias nana 'Bonsai'
  • Cryptocoryne x willisii "nevillii"
  • Cryptocoryne beckettii "Petchii Pink"
  • Süsswassertang
  • Java moss
  • Salvinia natans
