Water changes below substrate level

So basically i've set up my first proper scape which is going well so far. I have been doing a 80% water change every other day for the past 10days.

My substrate is sloped up pretty high at the back and when i do a 80% water change the water goes below the substrate level at the back, are there any negatives doing this? I like doing 80% water changes every week in general as its easy using a python, so was wondering if maybe going below the substrate level could be detrimental in some way?

Thanks

If you have secured the substrate properly to prevent it from sliding, i see no reason why there should be a problem.

if you haven't done this, it might start to shift and slide... :)

Thanks! The soil has substrate supports and big rocks so shifting shouldn't be a problem i understand that soil will slightly level out a little over time.
