Hi all,

I’ve noticed these two plants all of a sudden growing in this pot in the garden. This was a new palm in new soil last summer so I’m quite nicely surprised at this new growth. The smaller one has rubbery looking leaves on it

cheers

The rubbery one is a sedum and will probably have yellow flowers. I see some oxalis near the palm and the red species can really become a weed.

Not so sure on the other plant but it looks like a vetch which grow like peas through grass normally, and you can see the little tendrils where they cling on.

First two are definitely oxalis. The red species is sometimes known as creeping wood sorrel (apparently, i hadnt heard of it as that myself) and it can be a bit of a pest tbh (it's a very common weed type species).
The second is a sedum, sometimes called a stonecrop. They generally have yellow or white flowers and are a nice addition, plus perfect for keeping with a palm as they don't mind it on the dry side.
The third, I'd still guess at vetch. We have a few species and the most common around me has purple flowers (tufted vetch) but I see plenty of yellow (kidney vetch), although I think it's the former.
