Hi all,
Yes, Water Louse (Asellus aquaticus). I keep them in all my tanks, so it may have come with the Riccia.

cheers Darrel

Ahh that's where they came from :) got some too and didn't have them before getting some riccia from Darrel. I think they are cool little things and seem to pick through the detritus

They are real active scavengers

I still need a bunch of those, i should be able to find them in nature, but havent tried yet
You will find them under stones in streams just put a net behind the stone lift the stone and let the flow wash them into the net ;) Great little critters :) Some times i find bullheads & fresh water shrimp too
