If I was to try growing plants with high light/nutrient requirements how many 24w t5 would I need over a 70cmx70cmx60cmh tank or would a 150w halide be to much.
I'd want 4x24w or a halide. I have a 60x45x45 on order and I'm looking at leds or halide. It's not too much it just means you have to be very careful with nutrient and co2 management.
CO2 is a more important consideration really. You will need to consider a good CO2 setup and then taylor the lighting to suit the type of plants you want to grow. More light = faster growth (if CO2 and ferts are in balance).
