buy a large sponge and make one yourself, or wrap some netting around the intake which IMO would be better as it wont slow the flow rate down too much.
I used an old breeding net. I cut a large enough piece tied a knot in the bottom and trapped the rest in the top, where the strainer pushes onto the inlet tube. Works quite well, but it does get clogged. I should clean it more often than I do It does slow flow down when it gets clogged.
