I was looking to buy one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Carbon-Dioxide-CO ... 4cef2dca16

And i was wondering which regulator would fit? I don't really have much clue when it comes to regulators.

Hope you can help, Andy

I enquired regarding these bottles ie. date of last test and how much time is left in the 10 year bottle test, steel or alloy bottle - I was advised that they were tested every time they were refilled, no further information was recieved - so becareful. As for the regulator http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Side-Entry-CO2-Ga ... 1e5ba7313e - a reg with this connection will fit a co2 bottle as it screws onto the bottle or FE the other type of reg screw into a bottle which are more for an industrial or workshop bottle you usually see these type of bottles on the back of a BOC wagon.

Personnel choice you would be better off with something like this reg with built in night time shut off valve and needle valve.

Also, the seller states that the cylinders will be emptied for delivery (unless you can collect) so it'll work out more expensive in the end than a 2kg extinguisher (which would be delivered full) once you factor in a refill.

Thank you for the advice guys.

I'm not too worried about the FE cost, because i don't like the look of them anyway. And it wont be that much cheaper, its only £20 anyway?

I am really on a budget which is why i was trying to keep the cost of the regulator down but i guess i'll need a solenoid anyway.

Is this the cheapest I'm going to find a regulator/solenoid built in?

How about this?

The first one is £20.00 dearer - but its in the UK - Southampton so if there is an issue is easy to sort out over the phone the second is in Hong Kong that going to be a dear call or plenty of emails flying around the world and it might not get sorted.

Might be worth a go if it's still for sale as it's a known reg and it's a decent price.

Cheers for that. I've contacted him so i'll see if he gets back.
What kinda price would this go for new? Or is it part of a set?
I was just thinking whether i should haggle the price down or not. If hes had it for a month and still got it, i've probably got room to haggle.

A JBL reg and solenoid would set you back anywhere north of £140 brand new as they are vastly overpriced. At that price though it's a bit of a bargain...
