Hi all

I have a 30x30x40cm cubeish tank and the light has broken. I have seen 2 alternatives for the light so would like your personal opinions.

1- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UP-PRO-L-29cm-1ft ... 286.c0.m14

2- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

I only use easy carbo sor a co2 source so im not sur eif the first one is the best.

thanks

Will
Presonnel view - I prefer the second unit. Difference in wattage 36 v 24 - but T5's brighter light

Go for the first one. It wil produce more than enough light for your tank. The disadvantages of the 2nd are lower wattage and also the need to replace the actinic tube.

I decided to go for the second one.

The reason is I only had 18w on my old light and the compact flourescents always broke (I have had 2) so im trying t5s and it is only 2w lower, which im not bothered over because I used to cut back a lot of plants over a 1-2 week basis with 18w.
