White spot and cyanobacteria

One of my Serpae tetras was showing signs of white spot. I treated last night with Interpet anti white spot plus, now almost all the persistent cyanobacteria that's been a constant problem has gone.

Perhaps not surprising given what the treatment is made of, but a welcome side effect!

(that is strange because white spot can't/shouldn't be treaed with antibiotics ( it's a parasite) and cyano's will disappear wiyh antibiotic use( not reccomended treatment))

Hi @Edvet The treatment is composed of formaldehyde and malachite green (http://www.interpet.co.uk/Products/Test-Treat/Fish-Treatments/Anti-White-Spot-Plus-100ml), so not antibiotic.

But unequivocally it has had a radical effect on the cyano in the tank.
