White spot

Hi all

annoying new fish arrived and got ich a couple of days later, presumably due to the stress of the transit.

I treated immediately with API whitespot cure as per guidelines and today is final day and have just done a water change and observed fish.

most of the spots are gone but there are a couple which still have them albeit less. Do I get some more treatment and reapply or should I give it a few days to see what’s what? No deaths and all eating well etc.

Always continue treatment some extra days after the last visible spots. So if you still have spots youre not done, in my opinion

Those spots still on the fish will eventually drop off and release hundreds of tiny free-swimming babies. That is the stage in their life-cycle when medication can kill them, so you need to keep the treatment in the water until after the last spots have disappeared.
