Hi
I have a 90l tank, which has been up and running for about 3 months. At the moment I have 6 Amano shrimp and 6 neon tetras. It is fully planted, but haven’t plucked up the courage to turn the CO2 on yet.
Can anyone tell me what the whiteish ball is, on the right hand side? It’s appeared overnight.
I added some plants a friend gave me (she’s rejigging her tank at the moment) on Monday. Could it be something from her community tank? I didn’t notice anything when I was planting the moss and Anubis’s.
Water parameters are spot on, but I'm experiencing an algae problem at the moment. I did a 50% water change yesterday and added some Seachem algae treatment.
Luckily there are a couple of Amano shrimp in the picture for scale.
Thanks for any help.

No she doesn't use them and it's much smaller. I used them when I set the tank up, but that was 3 months ago. could it be one of them?
I'm hoping it's not a slug egg, so will be going with alien egg instead.
