Wild Betta Jungle Scape

The flow is okay, not brilliant I am thinking about changing the lily pipe, I think there might be dead spot in that area where I planted the crypts and I did have an out break of staghorn algae./QUOTE]

What are you thinking of changing it to?
I can see barely any flow in my tank but so far the plants seem to be doing OK.

Hello,

I have been really busy recently and have not had time to update this thread, so here we go!

4 Month Update

The cryptocoryne balansae and tropica has really started to grow and mature really nicely. I am also super surprised about how great growth I am getting from the Helanthium tenellum 'Green' in an aquarium with no CO2 and little fertiliser.

I have also made a video on me doing a bit of maintenance on the aquascape:

Any questions about this aquascape please ask!

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the lack of updates on my Jungle Aquascape, at the point of this update the scape is 6 months old now!

The helanthium tenellum 'green' is going out of control now and definitely needs a trim! The crypts are also starting to get more mature which is really nice to see, it helps to create that nice jungle look I am going for.

I made a video on the maintenance I did for the tank this month!

Thanks for looking,
Krish

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to give another update on the scape at the 10-month stage!

The crypts have changed so much in colour and height, especially the cryptocoryne wendtii tropica. I glad the cryptocoryne wendtii green has filled in the background of the aquarium. I just wish the java fern trident could growth a little bit taller.

If you want to see my maintenance procedure please have watch!

Let me know what you think!

Been wondering how to trim my tenellum, great option for a carpeting. And seeing your wenditii tropica I definitely need to get this in my set up. Amazing looking tank though mate

Hey Everyone,

I know this is a very late update but here is the scape a year old. I am super happy with the growth from the Crypts they really have filled out the whole scape now and has made the aquarium have more of a jungle feeling to it, which has been my aim from the start. The colours from the Crypts are so nice too especially the Crypt Tropica which adds a nice brown colour to break up all of the green.

Here is also a little video showing me doing some maintenance on the aquascape!
