Having read the previous posting regarding willow (drift wood) I just wanted to establish if the same would be true of dead willow tree root that has been submerged for a period of time in a gravel pit? I've currently got my eye on a root I found as a result of the water level having dropped. The tree its attached to is dead and there is no bark remaining on the trunk or roots themselves, cleaned by the snails, etc.
Any ideas guys?
