I bought a Limnophilia sessiliflora, which I have never grown before. I had to leave it in the shipping bag for 48h before I could get it into water. It's looking a little worse for wear, but I cannot replace it at the moment (everyone in Ireland is out of stock, nobody in the UK is shipping here right now, and €14.95 shipping from Germany is a bit rich for one plant).

My question is, should I leave it in the pot until it recovers a bit, or should I go ahead and plant it now? It's going onto an established tank with a coarse sand substrate. Is it likely to melt or shed needles all over my tank?

Bearing in mind that 99% of aquatic plants also grow above water, you shouldn't have any issues. I personally find Limno to be extremely Hardy.
