Hi all, saw sth blocking one spraybar hole. Turns out it was a small worm. Any idea what this is?

I would guess some kind of Chironomid larvae, like bloodworm, in which case: Free live food

Bloodworm (Chironomid) larvae for me as well.

How could it have ended up in my aquarium though? Do they occur naturally in a nature tank?

I freaked and didn't want to take any chances so I tossed it. Is it possible I have more in there and is this a good thing?

They are "non-biting midges", so the females can fly. They are pretty much universal in freshwater.
