I currently run my CO2 via the Hagen "ladder". It seems ok but i can't help feeling that i should be looking for more dissolved CO2.

What is your preferred methods ?....i was looking at the pollen glass diffusres on ebay or even goung for some sort of inline reactor.

Im on a budget so need to keep costs down.

Thanks guys

Andy

As you can see diffusion is good, but you need to get the ditribution correct.

EDIT: i have only ever used these cermaic diffusers off ebay:

(they do have larger sizes)

but i have just recently purchased one of these external diffusers. They are the same as a ceramic diffuser, except the fit on the outside of your tank:

Unfortunatley i dont have a tank set up at the minute but supercoley1 and Zig have used them with success. Other members have also used them. Nice and cheap too.

This is the one I am using in my tank, purchased from this seller too, its excelent :)

10 available....67 sold  someone's making some money !!!!

EDIT...misread, it said more than 10 available so i've ordered them.

Thanks guys, ordered the other one (that looks like a filter strainer) but will order these as well if they become available again.

I will be sticking with reactors for the moment. They are one less piece of hardware in the tank.

Dave.

I have 2 of the ones that London has linked to above and also a Rhinox2000. I can't tell the difference really. I do need to adjust the bubble rate for each one though. I guess they must have lightly more or less resistance (back pressure) than each other!!!

I have used the inline and although I can see they would work well I think you need to have a certain flow setup to use them externally. They are great used inside the tank with a powerhead although no better than a ceramic disc which is smaller. The way I like to have my Lily slightly above the surface (or even very close to the surface) it isn't as good as a glass/ceramic disc :)
