    Boraras brigittae

Hi Christor, I have also recently purchased some, after seeing other members keeping them in shrimp tanks.. They really are a great little species, espceially once they have coloured up as you said. I was recommended to keep them in numbers of 12 plus long term, they had an offer on 6 and so...

    Cat litter

After reading this tread on cat litter, I decided to give it a go in my new desk top cube, picture was taken a few weeks ago... but really pleased with it. No problems with plants staying in the subsrate which was my initial worry with it being so light. Thanks guys, saved me a few quid as I...

    Qube Journal (TetraUK)

Well I'm slowly getting somewhere with the Qube after the Bogwood finally decided to show up :jawdrop Wood was a little tall so had to trim it a tad in order to fit the glass lid back on... Attached some plants that I had managed to collect ready for the wood and submerged, now has Needle...

    Qube Journal (TetraUK)

Qube update: Plants are just loose at the moment, awaiting the bogwood arrival which I fear is currently stuck in the Christmas parcel backlog as I was told it was dispatched on Friday via first class recorded delivery but still hasn't arrived :( Please excuse the dirty glass, hasn't been...

    Qube Journal (TetraUK)

25L Aqua-Qube Journal Due to the main 4ft Aquarium being situated in the living room, I have been considering a smaller version for the study as I spend so much time in there with course work and forum browsing... Recently I managed to pick up a second hand 25L Superfish Qube which fits...

Can Sagittaria subulata plants be trimmed?

Thanks Al... Will just let them settle-in in that case as see what happens. So far so good on the daily dosing, Cabomba seems to be growing rather well and even have some new shoots starting on the java ferns.

Can Sagittaria subulata plants be trimmed?

Hi All, I had a delivery of Sagittaria subulata today from the last-trading-post, however they are much taller plants than I was expecting. Currently have them dotted around the cobbles and placed the taller ones at the back but it just doesn't look right... Wondered if they could be trimmed...

Hope I don't get in trouble for adding this link, not sure on the rules here... but there was an interesting article on fish ages in PFK a while ago, article can be found here in case you haven't seen it: http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.uk/content.php?sid=3664 Rather amazing the ages that...

Re: TetraUK's Tank Journal Hi Alastair, I have added a signature now with my stock list... plant list is growing slowly, just need to find some tall growing low tech plants for the rear now, however the live stock should be remaining the same unless i come across a few more giant kuhli loach...

Sagittaria subulata with just ferts and no co2?

Hi All, I have been looking at buying 50 stems of Sagittaria subulata after looking at various planted set-up's on here, and think this would be a lovely plant to have around the cobbles in the foreground of my aquarium. It seems that all the set-up I have looked at dose co2 and so I was...
