Hi folks,
I've just found and opened up an old tub of TNC trace elements. Whats the chances it is EDTA Chelated and can be used in a DIY all in one fert?
I'll be buying the necessary Ascorbic acid.
Thanks.
Check out the F1 Discus in one of the tanks that Tom Barr created for a client..

They are healthy and beautiful.
Couldn't these vivid green colours just be due to the increase in the magnesium? After all, it is magnesium that gives chorophyll it's green colouration (like iron gives in red blood cells their colour).
Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious.
Could you dose the Calcium Nitrate Anhydrous with dosing spoons? Would it be roughly the same as dosing KNO3?
For example -
80-150 litre tank
Monday
1/4 tsp KNO3
1/16 tsp KH2PO4
So, on the next macro dosing day (Wednesday), could you add 1/4 tsp of Ca(NO3)2, instead of the KNO3?

Surely that's down to ammonia. A high% of plant biomass has gone and therefore there is a reduced rate of ammonia absorbtion in the tank. If ammonia isn't being utlized as quickly as before (by plants and filter) then the algae spores have more of a...
I don't believe it's the profito. It was my understanding that plants uptake trace elements quite quickly, therefore they couldn't cause a pH drop because they're not in the water column. Not 100% sure on that one though.
