    Yes, you can use sessiflora....one of the reasons I like to use this method is the stems don't get pushed around the surface as much as floating plants do!

    If you are running Co2 I would dose ferts! It's primarily to combat thread algae as this particular algae can be a pain to eradicate. Just put the fast-growing plants on the surface....you can always take cuttings and add them to the substrate....then remove them later!

    Reduce your lighting to 6 hours and implement the Tutorial below. Fertilizers don't cause algae, too much light and poor water quality are two causes. Remove dead or dying plant matter as this only clouds the water more...

    Sure you ordered the correct size 6mm is the push-in end and the 4mm stem goes into the tubing! Or they could have sent you the wrong order? Do you still have the bag the reducers came inside? I think you have a 4mm x 6mm......which is the wrong way around!

    Probably, I use floating plants as an indication of Nitrate deficiencies...I just add a few drops of Solo N if needed! My aquariums aren't that large so those little 50ml bottles suit me!

    Hi Victor if you have algae issues....you must look elsewhere for the cause or causes! Poor unhealthy growth in certain plants, is usually down to poor deployment of lighting and fluctuating Co2! Substrate can even play a part in poor growth....inert substrate like sand/gravel can be a problem...
