I tend to agree re set up for shrimp, but rcs are pretty resiliant shrimp, so hpefully they are just hiding - which they are very good at. But either way, £36 for 12 rcs?????!!!!! I'd have given you about 80 for that much!!

The article is correct - it is very difficulty to breed amanos. Just leave be - the eggs will be released and be a nice snack for the fish.

You could try offering them to your lfs. You might not get a huge amount for them, but easy money with no postage hastle if you have loads. I'm currently breeding CRS (slowly til I get the fish outta there!), & have had offers of £2.50 from a couple of shops.

If you get 6 shrimp, the probability of getting at least one breeding pair is approximately 97%, so you are pretty much guranteed to get at least one pair. You could start with that to see how you get on, & then add some new ones to get some fresh bloodline. As you don't need so many to start...
