O sorry, I thought you were asking what the sifference was between the 1000 color plus and the 15000 Ultima!! my bad. :facepalm: I would guess the difference is the type of LED's used. ps; I went with 2 1500 Ultima tiles and am very happy with them.

The color plus uses different color LED's (4 white, 2 green, 2 red and 2 blue) where the 1500 just uses 10 White LED's.

This is for 2 x 60cm strips each with 5 leds, depending on how high you want your light they could be used on a 90cm tank.

TBH for the money you would have thought more features would be included. Seems a lot to pay for in essence only a timer and a dimmer.

Thanks for confirming, I will have to hold tight then for the storm version. I have 8 weeks to find one till my new tank is made and delivered by AquariumsLTDUK, so should find one by then.

You may be right, but the thing that makes me "think" that not all have the storm feature is the bit in the top right hand corner that says "Includes Storm Function" Most for sale dont have this so I guess they don't have the feature, hopefully someone can confirm before I order one.

Hello, I have just purchased an TMC 1500 Ultima Tile and controler, The 2 chanel controler I have says it has the storm function on the box but I cant work out how the storm function works, it does not even say in the instructions how the storm function is activated so could anyone help me out?

You are not wrong there!! and the worst thing is a 1500 Ultima tile and Storm controler was for sale on here for £180 last week, I would have paid £200 for the pair without hessitation.

Ok, I was assuming that a 2 channel control would run 2 tiles; TMC Aquaray AquabeamTwo Channel Control | eBay But saying that this control does not say it will run the 1500 Ultima tile.

Thanks for the info, the Colour Plus tiles are slightly more expensive but I would prefer the light to look slightly bluer, so the dimmer unit is a must so that will need to be factored in to the cost. So would the tiles be fine if they are only a couple of CM's from the surface? I guess it...

Hi, I did notice that the GroBeam bars are a little to long to have 2 in a row so I was planning on staggering them slightly so they would fit. Did your GroBeam bar clear the support brace that runs from the front to back of the tank in the middle? and how did you fix it to the hood?
