    DIY LED Lighting guide

I have tracked down the model I bought of ebay secondhand to this website for $18, not sure about how much shipping would be. Also two of these and a cheap household dimmer could work suggested by another member, but haven't tried it. Also this one you...

    DIY LED Lighting guide

Yes I know all about this, I would say the LED's running at full brighness were hot but are at about 70c still ok to touch. Turning them down to 70% would make the last for their full lifetime IMO. I do however recommend that people do use these with an additional heatsink if possible, even...

    DIY LED Lighting guide

Yes that is a good point, the heat transfer seems to be quite good as they are pressed tight against the PCB, although I am sure a spot of thermal glue/compound would be a good idea. I will let you know how mine go that I have made without.

    LED/Drivers - Advice needed

Sorry mate didn't realise you ere not using cree XML as written by someone else above, depending on what led you are using the driver current might be a bit high for these, think most 3w led's are 700-950ma and your driver is 1500ma

    LED/Drivers - Advice needed

How did you wire them? XMLs have a 3.1v forward voltage at 1500ma so you would need 4 LED's in wired in series for them to work. Test the drivers with a mutimeter or another 12v device (or your tongue) if possible to see if you have a working driver, just make sure you don't test the 240v...

The one you suggest above is for use in glazing, for example sealing glass into window frames. and the one I suggested is...
