    CO2 regulators/ new bottle woes

Based on your consumption danmil3s yeah that does sound cheaper. That is a lot of co2, well compared to me, are you sure you don`t need one of those huge pub bottles :) I guess for anyone it`s a good idea to hold back, figure out what their consumption is after a few months then commit to either...

    CO2 regulators/ new bottle woes

Hi, Yup FE would work out a lot cheaper in the long run. Most local FE dealers will refill much cheaper than BOC, i could be wrong but i think with BOC you have to sign up to a contract also? I pay £5 for my refills, they charge the same for 5kg and 2kg which is nice. Cheers,

    Co2 solenoid timers?

Yeah i agree with the guys i`ve had electronic timers and they are a nightmare. Reasons? Most have a battery backup to keep time and schedules for on`s and off`s, we had a power cut a while back and when the power came back up it had reset all the settings so when i returned back 3 days later my...

Diffusing Co2 with a mini filter

Hi, I wondered about this method considering the amount of good comments about having it on the intake. For me i worry about a premature lifespan of my Eheim 2078 and i just cannot afford to replace it at present. Can anyone comment of their experiences with external co2/canister filters and if...

Good or Gimmick - CO2 Digital Analyzer

You know Clive i actually followed that from start to finish and i got most of it :) What i don`t get is how on earth i would convince the wife to let me part with £2k to measure some gas in my Aquarium, for now the DC will have to do ;) . As Chris said, legend! Cheers,

Good or Gimmick - CO2 Digital Analyzer

Hi, Just seen a couple of these, they are out of my price range but i was curious if anyone has tried one and is it really worth £200 more than just a regular glass DC ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Evo-Digital-Co2-A ... _500wt_928 Cheers,

Suitable Regulators for a Fire Extinguisher

Hi, Ah ok, i have them still in the original rockwool pots, I have put them in a hatchery (with lid on as i swear the Red Tail Botias were having lunch) and they were just below the surface last night but i`m sure today they looked paler so i moved them midway down. Do you mean submerged and...

Suitable Regulators for a Fire Extinguisher

Perfect, thanks for the UK link, i think it`ll be the one to get and i can get this tank up and running asap :) Now just to figure out the scape, that`ll take me longer than waiting for the reg to arrive! Cheers,

Suitable Regulators for a Fire Extinguisher

Guys, Thanks for the replies, the `UP` branded one looks like a good option, especially when weighing up the costs buying it separately (solenoid would be £40 on it`s own). Fingers crossed my pots of HC don`t die before i get the co2 setup, for now they are sat in a 4ft planted tank but it`s...

Suitable Regulators for a Fire Extinguisher

Hi, I`m in the process of buying another co2 setup for a new tank. I have been looking about but quite confused with various types of regulators about and need to get something on a tight budget fairly quickly (plants are arriving soon). I`d like to know... Can i use CO2/Argon regulators, i...

    Multiple Tank Co2 Setup

Hi, Bought one of these as well. I`m going to see if i can use the already existing needle value on the reg to control the general flow and then this to a pair of inline diffusers, i figure if i make both lengths as short as possible from the splitter valve into each diffuser i won`t have to...

    Multiple Tank Co2 Setup

Is it woth me grabbing a couple of those needle valves anyway, they seem quite cheap? I might as well give it a go and see, if i can get around having to purchase a second reg and solenoid i will, tight budget with the rest of the tank. I`ll take the blue pill on this one ;)

    Multiple Tank Co2 Setup

Hi, I`m about to start another tank and have an existing pressurised co2 system in place. I would like to split this out so that i can use a single 2KG FE on both tanks to achieve 30ppm on both. So far i understand that all i need is a splitter and an additional needle value to ensure that even...
