Goniopora got fragged, not worth the risk. Removed majority of the calcium carbonate skeleton just in case.

No ID on the worm, smelled putrid. Heard TMC sometimes find a worm burrowing around inside wild/maricultured Goni’s, that at first seem unhappy for no apparent reason. Took a punt that this was suffering the same slow death due to an unforeseen parasite.

Little dip in iodine afterwards for good measure always help with healing.

Yep, dipped in iodine to ward off infection.

Just thought this worth posting. If you get a goniopora colony that isn’t improving, regardless of what you do, odds may be stacked against you from the very start.
