Thought I'd share what the marine world can be like for us offshore workers (I work on seismic survey vessels). Just managed to capture this biggun that we ploughed through when I was working on the Vigilant off Norway a few months back. It was blowing a force 9 - 10 at the time. A few hours later it rose to what was broadcast as violent force 11 - 12. Not much sleep was had and the ship got a little trashed! Shot this whilst (trying!) to have a coffee on the bridge.

Heres a shot of the ship (I didn't take this)

Off to join this old girl sometime next week to do another job off Norway. Been stationed on her a couple of times now, very comfy. Hopefully the weather will be a little calmer!
