Orignally set this tank up in March but kind of didn't finish it, so starting it again, now my exams are nearly over!
Plan is to do a Nano South East Asian Biotope like a Burmese River Set up. All the plants and fish are going to be from around here. Except for the Hairgrass which some could say is a Cosmopolitan plant so kind of cheating the biotope idea ! Never the less heres the stats on paper!
Standard Clearseal rimless glass tank - 40 x 20 x 20cm ~ 16ltrs
Fluval U1 internal filter ~ 250 lph.
Over-tank luminaire, 3 x 8w t5 bulbs, only 2 being used, so 16W.
Colombo Flora Base substrate black.
Aqua Essentials branded liquid Co2 / Nutrafin Co2 Kit.
Aqua Essentials Aqua Nourish+ fertilizer.
Hardscape - Sumatra Wood From my local MA
Plants - Rotala Sp. Green
- Rotala Rotundifolia
- Eleocharis parvula
- Java Moss
Fish - A shoal of small rasbora's, not alot else from the S.E.A. area for a tank this size.
I dont have any pictures of the hardscape or when it was originally planted, but here is a few 4 days after planting!
Aiming for a simple scape so the green and red stems growing over the mossy wood(which i tried to position so it looks like a fallen tree trunk?) With just a carpet of hair grass around it.
Pictures are by a bog standard Digital Camera, hopefully borrow my sisters DSLR next week so more piccys then!
