Encouraging leaves on lower Staur. stems?

When my Mini M was covered in BBA and Staghorn, I pulled off the affected Staurogyne leaves. Now it's much cleaner, but the lower parts of these stems haven't sent out new leaves and it looks a bit bare. It's only growing from the top. Will it stay like that, or is there a way to encourage new leaves to grow lower down?

Cheers,
Tom

Chop the tops! Removing the main growing point should force the plant to push out new side shoot's. Cut them back to 1 or 2 nodes and fresh growth should come from those nodes. Replant trimmings if you need more coverage.

Staur is a new plant to me and mine are slow going so far. From my research this plant likes being pruned back hard especially if your trying to carpet with it.
