What is the male fitting on a CO2 FE.........

By that I mean thread and size.

I have acquired a pub bottle but the plastic carrying handle gets in the way of the reg so I need to have a F to M extension made.

Bsp but im not sure on size. measure outside diameter of thread and i'll have a look in my thread chart. you can probably buy an extension from a boc or air products. you can also unscrew the plastic handle but make sure cylinder is secure and cant fall over if you do(this is not ideal but can get you going till you find an extension

Just checked its a DIN 477 no.6 which is 0.040" smaller than 1/2bsp

Just returned from my local engineers who cannot help me which is a surprise . He says it is not a BSP 5/8 but their own fitting which appears to be the DIN one as you say.

I have just been looking at the chances of removing the handle..........

Theres usually a pinch bolt on the shoulder of handle. Unscrew this then the handle should unscrew from the cylinder some times there tight from been stored outside plastic ones shouldnt be so bad though

Couldn't find any kind of securing bolt so a few light taps with the hammer and...........sorted!
