Setting up two filters?

As of this week I'll have a spare Eheim 2013, I've only got a Fluval 106 on my 60 litre tank so I'm wondering if (a) it's worth using both filters and (b) how do people usually set them up? I assume I'd just need two sets of lily pipes next to each other?

I understand that the general rule is to have them working together so outlets on one side of the tanks and inlets on another side. This will then help with distribution the CO2 or ferts around.
