An closer look at the Bacopa caroliana.
If you zoom in and look close on the part of the photo that has good focus, then you will be able to see an hinch of the individual cells that the leaf i built up. Pretty good to be an 90mm macro lenz, and not an microscope.

Why do we like to do underwatergardening? One of the reasons must be the submerged photosynthesis thing.

I just cant get enough of these pearling plants. Bubbels! They confirm my good maintainance in the tv sofa.

guessed what plant?

Hi all,
notice those small white spots (not the bubbles) very similar to those seen on closeup photos of some bucephalandras.
They are reasonably closely related as part of the <"Schismatoglottid alliance"> in the family Araceae. I think the white spots are probably raised stomata (or possibly "hydathodes").
guessed what plant?
Bolbitis.

cheers Darrel

Wow.
Incredibly healthy plants.
They look immaculate.

Thanks all for the sweet feedback.
Yeah, Bolbitis heudeliti it is

Heres an interesting thing. Pogostemon stellata has been cut of and is now giving several new steems, but it seems to be struggling, thoug it has been deeply red for some days. still red but not so intense anymore:

Here the same plant beside another P.stellata
