ADA 120F - Cory Playground

Sitting here I realised that I never started the thread for this tank of mine...
And I got it end of April last year!!!


ADA 120F
ADA style cabinet
4 x 54W ATI light unit
ADA SuperJet and Eheim 2213 caniters
No CO2
Weekly ferts
Bi-Weekly Waterchanges
Play sand substrate
 
Got the rank second hand from a friend...

Had that piece of wood in the garden and when I got the tank I knew they were made for each other...

The only way I could get permission to get the tank was if I put up shelves for my wife in the room, it worked out well as it provided me with a spot to hang the light unit from...

To keep the moss going on the wood during the dry months I had to devise a plan to keep the moss moist...

A single pump auto doser dumping tank water down the wood several times per day... Via some air line tubing.

Really nice scape! Loving the solution with the tube to keep the moss moist!

Do you have to flatten the sand a lot? I can imagine it tends to shift around a lot.

It's so sad that ADA discontinued this model though, I always liked it... :(

The sand is very stable and I seldom have to do anything to it.
I think it's the 6 Black Venezuela Cory that keeps it all perfect...
