Hi Andy Sorry for my lack of presence on Ukaps as of late, I've had a couple of health issues ( sorted now hopefully) which took precedence and bee getting bits ready in the background for the next big tank which starts a week on Saturday. I have brought this up don't worry, hopefully get it...

Sadly they won't do that due to the age of the filter which is a shame, John Allen are usually really helpful even if your past your warranty. I'd ask them to see if they can look at it again. I have used these faultlessly and no many who have them with no problems at all. Both thermo and...

    Little co2 better than non

Hi mick It's a sure thing when adding co2 to any tank no matter tank size or plants. Just be sure to add a little nutrients too. If it's a low tech, just have some surface agitation which will bring in atmospheric co2

    powerhead to strong?

Hi Martin Testing it in a bucket is completely different to being in the tank. You'll find it would be a wider spread depending on the device. The new eheim power heads have adjustable flow and are in various flows Ps lovely tank
  41. Alastair

Can I remove the trays themselves from Eheim external?

Hi No, the corridor or corner piece inside the filter is where the flow is pulled down before being pumped up through the trays bottom to top. If you go removing the corridor that flow isn't going straight down and back up, also if you remove the two other trays I'm sure the prefilter has...

Hiya Bill, Of course I can yes. Every other day I'll do roughly ten percent water change, but it's done whilst I'm siphoning water through air line into a bucket. This means any detritus or plant matter can be gently taken away, especially any under areas of the wood that have a lesser flow...
