Oase Biomaster hard to remove prefilter and hose adapter (under pressure)

Yes I use a inline diffuser. Lots of others on here use an inline so I'm not sure that is doing it. mine is rather difficult to remove now.

Oase Biomaster hard to remove prefilter and hose adapter (under pressure)

I have exactly the same thing. I need to forcefully remove the hose adaptor, to the point I'm worried I'm going to pull the pipes off. I don't have a solution but I'm following to see what others say.

I use hexealchemicals as well, 10kilo bucket. Lasts for a while πŸ˜‚ As far as I'm aware the heptahydrate is the only way the salt can be stored, @dw1305 answered my queries on that before.

    Planaria, are they an issue?

Be mindful if you do dose the tank that you will need to remove all remnants of the medication from the glass and other surfaces before adding your nerites back, but I'm sure it will say that on the meds instructions.

    Planaria, are they an issue?

Just want to add that I lost all my ramshorns when I dosed the tank, as well as a few amano shrimp. Coincidence maybe but I'm not sure. I did 2 weeks of daily water changes after the course was completed so I doubt it was ammonia related. I've also not been able to put nerites back in the tank...

To be honest it's a good excuse for a rescape. Plus not convinced I should be placing 300 plus kilo up on my landing 😱, I wouldn't trust Barratt to have made strong enough flooring. Hemianthus Micranthemoides

Yeah that's what I've found recently, I went through a stage of trying to limit my ferts, chasing the reds on the H'ra etc, but the plants all slowed and looked a little unhappy. Since changing back to full EI the HM has exploded and is happily pearling away after a couple hours.

Yea I have it growing in mine. Grows like a weed. Nice and Bushy, find it very easy to grow, not sure how it would fare with low light/co2 etc. I trim mine back every 3 to 4 weeks normally but left it longer this time to allow it to reach the surface. Gold tipped fins on white cloud mountain minnow

Yes I completely agree, the other males have a very pronounced white tip to their fins. But then...

Gold tipped fins on white cloud mountain minnow

Thanks @Gill , I've been reading online and several posts (not on this forum) have said it's down to them being in breeding mood. Which I don't think is right as more of the males would be showing the same colour. I mean they're happy due to the increased water changes and all the live food...

Gold tipped fins on white cloud mountain minnow

Hey all, Anyone know why my wcmm has gold tips to the ends of his fins? I can only notice it on one of the shoal. Excuse the mess on the buce, just fed in that area so I could feed bloodworm to the cories on the other side of the tank πŸ˜‚ Pic quality isn't great but I can just make them out.
  19. SRP3006

    Sandy Nook . . .

I prefer that if I'm honest, I really like the whole scape. Much better scale, the cories will love all that space.

They don't look like planaria to me. They move differently and don't have an arrow head.

Thank you @dw1305 that made them much easier to collect. Cories went crazy for them when I managed to sneak them past my 35 white cloud minnows πŸ˜‚ I'm thinking of trying to introduce daphnia to the water butt and guessing that as its OK for bloodworm it'll be OK for daphnia?
  23. SRP3006

    Bloodworm

Thanks Darrel, I now see exactly what that link describes. I've caught quite a few but that is one tedious task 🀣, pipetting them one by one trying to avoid the crud they love so much.

Depends on the plants you plan on planting first.
