I have had one of these ordered since 8th May but there's no sign of it yet, so be prepared for a longish wait :cry:

The crinkly looking plant is pogostemon helferi, and I agree it does look excellent. I've got some in my tank which is doing great now but suffered badly when I wasn't adding enough nutrients. I'm dosing 3x more TPN+ than I was when I started and its made a huge difference.

Well coffee and ciggie didn't do the trick :oops: I tried again but couldn't bring myself to do it. Have put it away and am trying to forget that it even exists :lol: Have just stuck another small cannister on the old Hydor which is bubbling away merrily. Hangs head in shame :(

Is it normal for some C02 gas to escape from the 500g bottles whilst screwing on the pressure reducer. I've just switched from the Hydor green NRG with the small 74g bottles to the advanced version which allows connection to 500g disposable bottles, 74g disposable bottles and rechargeable...

Someone has got some on fleabay at the moment £30 a bag :roll:

Partly uncovered tank last night, hoping that all BGA had gone, but there was still some on the substrate. Think I'll risk leaving it untill tomorrow morning then do a W/C and get C02 back on.

Thanks everyone, I'll up the TPN+ dosage and just leave blackout untill Saturday night, if it fails to budge I'll be back here again. Never thought it would be harder to keep a plant than a coral :lol:

I've been dosing 4ml of TPN+ and 2.8ml easycarbo daily. W/C are down to once per week now 50% because ammonia doesn't register on test kit any more. The red slime treatment didn't work on the BGA but it didn't kill any plants either. Gave up on it last night, cleaned most of it off, did 50% W/C...

Do you think a reefsafe treatment for red slime algae (cyanobacteria) would work for BGA. I ask this because I've got some somewhere (never used it though). I'm battling with BGA at the moment in my still cycling 72L High Tec. I'm on top of it at the moment but the ADA amazonia is still leeching...

Well, I'm still doing daily W/C but have increased from 6gall - 8gall per day making it 50% per day, fishless cycling (ammonia never drops below 0.5mg/l ).Have developed a patch of BGA on my glosso :( Have also scrapped the use of RO altogether and am just using tap water. C02 still running...

Thanks for all the advice guys, its much appreciated. Ray- good luck with your setup, it shouldn't be too long now before your ammonia nightmare ends, should make for a strong bacteria colony in the end. No doubt I'll probably be picking your brains and comparing notes down the line...

Thanks for the reply Tom, I'll hook an airpump up before any fish go in. I thought you were supposed to do 50% WC every day for a while when using aquasoil, then every other day or so untill ammonia had stopped leeching :?
