Yeah a few weeks after filling the pond there already were lots of animals taking shelter in there. I'm still amazed how some of them got there. When i took out some rocks i even found little shrimps in there, so feeding the fish also is quite low budget:D

Thnx Frederick, The setup is quite simple and lowbudget. I got two 4000 l pumps running. one of them works like a skimmer filtering trough the plants at the surface, the other has a outflow into the bottom of a container. This way the water is pushed up trough some lava rocks and filtration...

Looks really good if you ask me. I Just would keep the substrate i bit more open by removing 2 or 3 rocks and smash them into smaller pieces.

It's all finally coming together. Hardscape in place. Hardware setup Removable part for the hardscape to be mounted on. This will create the void for the filtration and will be the part to lift up for maintenance Just a few more things left to do. Next update will follow shortly...

Here is a small update about the progress so far. Some more layers of lacquer are to be added for a smooth finsch.
