I thought i would just post an update as i have been dosing ei for a few weeks now , also i have upgraded from diy co2 to a fe driven one with solenoid on a timer , I now dose exes daily but i built up to the full dose slowly and I have added some d/ baby tears and more recently some ludwigia...
I am only a beginner so I don't exactly feel qualified to answer also I have only had this a couple of weeks but it seems to do the trick , you will need calibration fluid as well atb...

Sorry to be a pain but i am planning to take your kind advice and start ei dosing but i am no chemist and do not quite understand all the abbreviations so my question : if I buy this starter kit would I need to also add chelated iron to the order and if so how much of it should i dose cheers gary.
I did think about that but thought my lighting might be the limiting factor and worried if that was the case about algae , may i ask what you suggest , nitrogen potassium and iron ? I am just beginning in this planted tank lark . flourish or another method ? Thanks in advance Gary.

I will start at the beginning , the tank was set up only a couple of months ago a 180 ltd jewel vision with 600 litre per hour bioflow 3 filter, and lighting = 8 1/2 hours a day

Iv'e been wondering about this myself although i don't run one at the moment . what i have been thinking is with co2 being heavier than air does it just accumulate between the water and the top of the tank and just sit there ? if so how do we replace it with o2 at lights out without an extractor...
Thanks for that Zozo, in that case i will probably stick with the proscan as it does at least tally with the liquid test as far as kh goes and reads ph to a decimal point as in 7.6 also it gives a read out on co2 . thanks again Gary.
What is the best method ? at the moment i am using an NT labs aquarium lab multi test kit but its a bit vague + i have to keep getting my wife to check it as i am a bit cooler blind , i also use the jbl proscan which also gives a co2 reading and is easier for me but I am not sure that i trust...
