Hello all. Let me cut a long story sort: I am looking at a few buckets of "Caribsea Eco-Complete Live Planted Substrate" currently sitting outside. They have not been in an active aquarium for a lengthy period of time.
I am also looking at an empty aquarium. Given this situation, is there any...
I bought a TMC Aquagrow non-return value from aquaessentials. It is now hooked up together with a bubble counter to an UP CO2 "reactor" inline with the return pipe to the tank.
Trouble is, very slowly water is coming back through the non-return value and collecting in a glass jar that the co2...
I'd go for option 3. The jbl 1500 I got for £80-90 during a zooplus promotion - bargain but the media is mainly sponge so I'll be swapping in something better over time.
I can also vouch for an Eheim 2075 which just works and has great media though more expensive. This has been running on my...
Hmm interesting.
I have the Boyu diffuser from Hong Kong. I've not fitted it yet. My only concern is that it fits multiple pipe sizes - i.e. the throughput can't be greater than that of a 12/16mm pipe whereas my JBL filter has the larger 16/22mm pipe.
Now the UP Co2 Atomizer on eBay appears to...
It is generally better to buy two smaller ones or one big one? I reckon the 4000 ought to do on my 4x2x2 tank I'm just wondering if 2x 2800s would be that much better (clearly costing more).
Re: Eheim Pro 3 2075 Review
FWIW I've had a 2075 running since last summer. I've cleaned it once! I paid £144 including 10% off at Zooplus.
The spray bar is mounted on the left hand side wall, shooting water across the top of the tank left-to-right as you look at it. I can't hear it with the...
Yeah they'd end up with shops selling only the most commonly requested components - just like with Eheim. I can't find stock of the 16/22mm hose bits (anti-kink supports for instance) anywhere locally, and they're pretty rare online too.
I had seen that but wasn't sure what it was. I actually quite like the idea of either co2 tube terminating directly underneath a power head or the tube going into a plastic bottle acting as a DIY reactor (as seen on youtube).
The powerhead idea would certainly add plenty of circulation but I'm...
Something like this: http://www.aquaessentials.co.uk/tmc-aqu ... -4390.html
It says it's limited to a tank of 200L. Why? Is it because you couldn't feed enough co2 through the small pipe connection, or because of the limited contact time within water while spiralling?
I ask as I'm wondering if...
What filter do you have?
Incidentally I checked at my LFS, they suggested I check Sera for a new in-line Co2 system that connects to the output pipe of external filters. I can't find it though...
Ouch @ price...
Lights: 2x 54w T5. Filter is Eheim 2075 with a Hydor eth 300 fitted.
At 14 inches I don't have pipework length to install the reactor 1000. Perhaps the 500 would suffice? I can add an extension apparently.
I need to replace my hoses anyway to be fair, they connect to an eheim...
Hi I've been looking on eBay to get a pressurised CO2 system. One question I have is whether to get a diffuser or a reactor.
A diffuser seems cheap but apparently can break particularly under the pressure needed for a 4x2x2ft tank. A reactor seems more suitable but is quite expensive.
I'll...
