the bulbs are doing fine,got a litte impatient waiting for dwarf lilly pad to grow,so went out and ordered a lillypad for a pond from ebay £2.50,the bulb was massive,2 inch by 3 inch,once burried in black quartz sand started growing rapidly,in two weeks i have 3 stems growing about 8 inches...

it wasnt just a bulb all had plants 7cm growing from them,i highly recommend

yeh i have ordered 3 types, Nymphaea "Rubra " @ £2.50 per bulb Barclaya Longifolia "red" £2.50 per bulb Also banana plant Nymphoides aquatica £3.95 per plant havnt got a clue what any look like,should be interesting,il post pics when they grow into somthing

hi people,iv read ei article and james's planted tank and i still cant get my head around what to dose,(im not very clever)iv bought these chemicals,mono potassium phosphate 1kg,epsom salts 500g,potassium nitrate 1kg,and 900g trace mix off aquaton on ebay,can some one spell it out in child terms...

just wondering if it is possible to create a trace mix at home,what would you ingredients would you use?and what quantitys would you mix them together in? just looking for a cheaper alterative in the long run. :eh:

iv got 3 foot long full pub co2 bottle today,ordered regulator and drop counter,still looking for a cheap enough solenoid switch,im looking at external diffusers after reading around on the forum and i think il get another pump to run it,can anyone reccomend a pump that works well with external...
