After 4 weeks of waiting there here. I didn't spot them I was sleeping on the sofa. Woken to the scream we got babie crystals. After a few mins a magnifying glass and "dad look on the moss" with frantic pointing. I eventually spotted them we're so excited. I left it up to Amie to count them her...

What a beautiful sight in the morning. I'm so jealous at the sight of this. I mostly keep shrimp and ferts scare me no matter what I read.

Haven't tried that but with an out break of rams horned that hitch a ride on plants i'll give it a go. Good way to get rid of unwanted pest..

Was just about to say how fantastic it look and how your shrimp had such good colour. Was so gutted when read the last post about your heater.

my shrimp will pick at spinach but don't get the same rush for it. I would use it if you have it yours might love it. HS

found this a very interesting read. So much so I now have a plastic container with java moss in it. Just to see how well it works :D

Plain old everyday stinging nettles ... I pick them when walking the dog. I boil them for couple of minutes then pop in tank whole. Remove anything left after 2 days max don't want any nitrate problems. Both my cherries and crystal reds love them HS

I feed mine algae wafers, brine shrimp, bloodworm algae pellets, crab cuisine and nettles... vatiety being the spice of life :D

good lucky before you know it you'll have the shrimp bug...... Not sure if its a nugget of information or not my cherries aren't keen on spinach that much but really enjoy stingy nettles.. HS
