I really like the jbl's, got three now, two e900 and one e1500, and cannot fault them.. :) silent, powerfull, easy to clean and prime, just perfect.. :)

I would say buy good and buy once. JBL's are superb, I replaced all my eheims with jbl's, silent, and powerfull. :) Bought them second hand. Got two e900's and one e1500.

The aquaballs are nice fish, and yes, the whitecloud minows are great fish for a room temperature tank, you can have it in a variety of forms.

The eheim classic is indeed a very powerfull filter, not fancy and will work for a long time, and there are ready parts available for them. I am on the look out for a 2260 classic, a very large filter with a very good output. You will always find parts for eheim's.

I got a EFX 400, and it is a fantastic filter. The media was long changed for eheim and some peat added.

I bought on ebay some acrylic ones.. They are very good, and do not break so easily as glass may do.

I just rinse the media on tank water every two or three months.. So far so good, no issues. What I replace then is the activated carbon, and the filter wool. This time I will replace the activated carbon with coco husks in a filter bag.

Thanks Viktor. I got a 1200L/ph filter on my 120L tank, and a Koralia. With the outlet and inlet on opposite sides of the tank. The Koralia is pushing water on the front of the tank.. Now that makes me think if I need it after all. :(

Thanks, I will invest on one then.. :) Good question, but to know the answer I will need to try out, and I currently my tank is doing so good that I am not keen to do it just to see if there is a difference. :D

Hi.. The ADA units, how strong are they? I would like to get a set for my 16mm/22mm pipe, but I am worried that they would break after a while. The idea of using glass is appealing, but glass is still glass.

No leaks. I got mine last year I think, and no issues whatsoever with it.

I live in London and my water is almost all composed of rock.. With peat on my filter and CO2 I get my water to be around 6.5 ph, which is perfect not only for the plants I have but also for my fish. Are peat bogs in decline in nature?

I would just use peat, micromec ball, sponge (very cheap) and carbon. Of the JBL the only one on my filter is MicroMec.

It seems enough flow ... The eheim 2080 moves 1700lth an hour, and the E1500 does 1500lth, and the fluval 405 at 1300lth so you have just over 10 times your tank per hour. Adding the Koralia's at each end, it may even be too much, in my opinion. What do you have on your tank that needs...

With me it worked the opposite.. I have the difuser left to the koralia, and it sucks the bubbles and throws them down, as the Koralia is pointing to the far bottom corner of the tank. :) I had the Koralia on the opposite of the diffuser and there seemed to be dead spots on my tank, some...

Hi, the question is do you need more filtration or do you need more water movement? If more movement, then a Koralia will sort you out, if filtration why not buy another eheim? Something like the Eheim Ecco Pro 130 would be enough. Use a quality spray bar such as the EHEIM INSTALLATION SETS...
