Yeah, my tank size is 125l, Filter is 1500lph, I also have an up-inline diffuser.
I just foudn that the shorter spray bar, the smaller diameter bar and exit holes made more of an effect than having a longer bar that had both a larger diameter and slightly large exit holes (if that makes sense)
I have been experimenting in my tank recently with spray bar placement / length along with using a single outlet.
I ran the spray bar for a while front to back, which worked ok. It didn't reach along the entire length so I extended it. This made the flow significantly less even though it is a...
How many people here do this? I am fed up with the billions of tiny bubbles floating about and making the water misty.
I have read a couple of people doing it, is there any proven long term affect on the filter or filter performance?
I have a JBL e1500 now after looking at all the usual suspects. So far so good. I have just added an UP inline CO2 diffuser and will get a hydor inline heater at a later date.
Build quality is good (the spray bar is a little on the flimsy side) and it is very quiet, just a feint humming sound...
They are but mere ripples! Though when I fired it up above the water level I got sprayed in the face!
It appears to be a great filter, from what I have researched paying the extra £40 over the tetratec ex1200 was a good idea.
Power heads, internal filter all removed, now running a JBL Cristal Profi e1500.
Spray bar extender and UP inline CO2 diffuser arriving tuesday. Nice amount of surface disturbance, water is certainly circulating throughout the tank now!
wow. Are you friendly with your LFS? If you are and brutally honest then the majority of the time they will re-home some of your stock. My common plec (that soon became 10 inches in length) that was originally sold to me as a bristle nose was re-homed at the LFS and then adopted by one of the...
I thinking about ripping out my Juwel internal filter and replacing it with a JBL e1500. On the specifications it says "in- and outlet: 16/22 mm" what does this mean? My interpretation is that the inlet has a diameter of 16mm while the output is 22mm?
If this is the case then I am assuming it...
Jesus, this aquascaping is right ball ache :)
So I can fashion some ghetto spray bar that can be attached to one of the power heads, or maybe move the 650 just below the 600 and have two?
So what the hell does that mean? :)
You mean the effect of having a spray bar across the entire length of the tank?
So giving that I have the following power heads, where would they be placed? All on the same side of the tank.
Confused
I have 125 litre tank (juwel rio) and I am running pressurised CO2.
Currently I have the powerheads set up as follows, the CO2 bubbles get sucked into the 200LH power head. The 650LH one is at the rear of the tank in the corner and pointed at an angle downwards.
Would it be better like this?
