Ive used the 1000 and the 1400 with UV and they are very reliable, quiet filters.... flow rate for me isn't quite as stated but it's also not that bad either. I run a 1400 on my 125l so a 2000 should be adequate for a 200l imo
All in all i would certainly recommend them and for price you really...
Hi Darrel.... so what your saying is there is no need for HMA units to remove heavy metals in the UK?..... so if i was in a soft water area (which i am) and wanted to keep discus, plecs... basically soft water fish, then the only benefit to HMA would be the ability to remove...
The reason i stated that it removes chlorine because most standard HMA units come with a carbon block or cbr2 membrane.... i dont think it really matters weather your in a high metal area at all.... even if you have low levels, wouldn't it be beneficial the HMA unit to still remove these to...
They remove chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals amongst other things, avoids the need of using any dechlorinators and yes they are a very good piece of equipment to have.
There are many UK sources to obtain them..most RO stockist will stock them.

These work surprisingly well to
There really is so many to chose from... the aquaball mentioned are very good filters.. as are... tetratech IN range, fluval plus range and the fluval u range... They will all do what you want.
The only real difference is price.
Turnover can be gained by adding a wavemaker/powerhead into the tank. The filter is essentially to grow bacteria so the TT700 would work fine.
If i remeber correctly from my old vision 180, the cabinet space is very limited so unless you want the filter within the centre section of the...
you could get the boyu or resun cheaper version which shouldnt be hard to come by in your neck of the woods, flow wise you have to think about substrate turbulance over one that wont distrupt so much.... just remeber though the cheaper models state a flow rate which is far to being acurate...
They are actually pretty good.. price is superb and build quality/reliability is excellent... have a google on reviews and have a look yourself.
I use/have used most of the range and i know many others that have and they all have nothing but excellent things to say about them.
The only fault i...
TBH, ive had fluval 304,305, TT EX600, EX700 and the EX1200 which all fitted nicely, the problem i had was having to run the pipework on the fluvals into the same side of the tank becasue they wern't long enough but as far as im aware you can buy larger/longer pipework for most externals anyway...
