What lighting for TMC Signature 600?

The tmc tiles would look pretty cool on the bracket fit...... I think Ian holdich had the setup over one of his tankshttp://www.ukaps.org/forum/threads/aquagreen-the-end.21804/ Some pics there..... Second hand ones are quite reasonably price to ;)Actually he has the beams but work on same principle

    Juwel light tubes and reflectors

Arcadia do the T5 equivalent juwel bulbs now but there not cheap, Iquatics also do them and they are a far cheaper option :)... have a look on ebay but they do have there own website.

Has anyone had any experience with these luminaires?

Yes to both of the above mate, there actually good quality considering the price, obviously the build quality isn't as good as Arcadia units but the price reflects that. but..... overall, For me they look very good for the price and certainly worth having and not just for somebody starting...

Has anyone had any experience with these luminaires?

Unless your comparing them to something like an Arcadia there actually pretty good, build quality is relatively strong and they do last, definitely worth the money :)

    DIY Shop Fluorescent Tubes

I haven't brought from there in over a year lol.... so it seems that the postage has changed for the better.... bulb prices have risen but still seem to be superb considering how much lfs charge for branded.... it actually now wouldn't be much dearer me buying from lampspec delivered than it...

    DIY Shop Fluorescent Tubes

    DIY Shop Fluorescent Tubes

I wasn't disagreeing that lampspec isn't a good place... ive brought from there countless times...however the postage isn't just a few quid if you only spend a couple of pound, postage when ive ordered was around £3 because the total was more than £9 or £11... if Kris is only buying a couple of...

    DIY Shop Fluorescent Tubes

I wouldn't imagine any are better than the next tbh mate, they may claim that one has a few more hours of use over the next but tbh... this is probably just as much of a myth as the colour rendition needed for plants.... for me though the 6500k bulbs are better because they have less of a pink...

    DIY Shop Fluorescent Tubes

Homebase is where i usually purchase my bulbs mate, if the wattage is the same as the ones your removing then it's usually the same bulb... but you obviously need to buy T5 if it's a T5 unit or T8's if it's a T8 but thats pretty self explanatory..... the only reason it wouldn't be suitable would...

    Max lights without CO2

I'm a little confused at this section of the question?..... if you have algae problems, how is more light going to help eradicate?..... isn't more light going to increase the intensity?. 'IF' your having algae problems, isn't the best procedure to eliminate the reasons why your getting it...

    Thoughts on this light?

It's just a cheap Chinese light unit mate.... ive brought from that seller many times and never been disappointed with what i've received. These as with most light units shipped from china are usually quite cheaply made but do the job and from my experience, they do the job well. Not sure if...

    FISH HOUSE LIGHTING

I guess it would all depend on what sort of plants you want to grow?.... anubias/ferns and mosses along with quite a few stem plants will grow under very little light so having relatively dim light would probably be sufficient. The other aspect is intensity of light, obviously the higher you go...

    Upgrading lighting

I think your missing the point a little, the higher the light the more the plants grow, the more organic waste produced.... this is what the water changes are there to do, rid the organic waste so you dont have a build up. You are not going to get fast growth with the current lights, if you up...

    t5 tube prices

Is there any reason why your opting for the specialist tube section and not the T5 tube section .... HERE>>> http://www.lampspecs.co.uk/Light-Bulbs-Tubes/T5-Tubes-14W-80W Where the tubes are considerably cheaper?

What watt for 88 litre tank?

As above, i think you would be fine with a single 24w.

    Lighting for a 60cm Optiwhite

It works out at around 25usg.... 2x24w would be more than enough giving just slightly under 2wpg... infact many would nowadays consider this to be to much already... APS do a 2x24w (black or silver) which i can highly recommend :). IMO 72w is way to much light and pointless buying a 144w unit...
